About TheShipYard

From a young age, i was interested in Naval history, and like most people, i started with RMS Titanic. From there i branched out and got interested in warships, due to my father having quite a number of large 1/96 or 1/128th scale model ships, ranging from KMS Bismark, HMS Hood, Rodney, Nelson, Dreadnought, Cornwall (Type 22 Batch 3 Frigate), and from this, i was hooked.

I decided to serve in the Royal Navy as a rating, spending just under 5 years in th service. Throughout that time, i learned the capabilities and limitations of pretty much all vessels in service today, and got to visit some pretty amazing places, and saw some museam ships, like USS Wisconson. A real Battleship, in the flesh.

Upon returning home from WESTLANT 19 (Carrier deployment to North America) i started the Youtube channel in April 2020, where we mainly focused on warships dating from 1900 to present day. The style of these vidio mainly focused on a slideshow of images, with a voice over explaining about the ship.
At first i started doing the Falkland war vessels, and the channel has slowly grown from there.

Since the begining of the channel, i have expressed that i want to become more professional, and to be better at what i do as a hobby, and with my 3D model/Annimation skills from Blender and Unreal Engine 5 becoming better, i hope that you will be able to experiance this in the near future.
